Gen Z slang and pop culture references may make for engaging headlines. But beyond delulu and FOMO lies a generation whose digital upbringing has reshaped how it questions authority, organises protests, and expects institutions to respond. Understanding its aspirations, anxieties and expectations is the far more important task.
