I belong to Kerala: Isha Talwar

Born and raised in Mumbai, actor Isha Talwar landed in Kerala for an ad shoot, and her life changed altogether. She was spotted and cast in a Malayalam film, Thattathin Marayathu, in 2012. “It was a game changer, and opportunities came knocking from all over, and I was flooded with offers in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam,” she says.
Her next is an action flick, Ranam, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran to be directed by debutant Nirmal Sahadev where she plays mother to a 16-year-old. “Playing a mom to a teenage didn’t matter to me when I got a call, all that I asked was when and where do I have to come,” she says on bagging this role opposite Prithviraj. Having learned Malayalam, she’s moved bag and baggage to culturally vibrant Kochi because of work, and also because she loves everything about God’s own country. “I can go on and one about Kerala,” she chirps in, adding, “I would love to be the brand ambassador for Kerala tourism.”
Talwar made her Bollywood debut last year opposite Saif Ali Khan in the black comedy, Kaalakaandi and has a second film, tentatively titled Kaamyaab, by the makers of Masaan, alongside critically acclaimed actor, Sanjay Mishra92c3e741-c2a5-447d-8f97-5e6d458a4bd0.
